Welcome back to this new corner of my blog, which I share what’s been happening in my world and what I’m loving May edition. I absolutely cannot believe its been a month since I shared April’s coffee and chat. Every month my blog grows more and more and it pushes me to be the greater person that I’ve always wanted to be, so expect to see more of me showing my true, authentic self. Grab yourself a coffee and have a peek at what has been happening in my world.
I am reading: Help For Depression And Anxiety by Sandra Cabot. I am not reading this for myself, but I do know a lot of people who suffer from these conditions. This is a holistic insight to help with emotional illness, stress, anxiety and unhappiness the ‘natural’ way opposed to pharmaceuticals and antidepressants, and how we can boost our natural happy hormones, one of them being ‘dopamine’, that studies suggest deficiency can even cause weight excess. I’ve only started it, but so far it is really interesting, especially because it is a holistic approach; that works on our mind, body and soul, rather than covering up the symptoms.
I am watching: Girlboss on Netflix (major chick flix). I’ve actually finished it, as I binge watched it with my sister. It is so funny, powerful and raw. It’s nice to watch a show with relate-able characters, rather than other chick flix I’ve watched; who are girls (who are most likely in high school) and look like models, even when they wake up (LOL!). If you haven’t seen the show, it is based on Sophia Amoruso, founder of Nasty Gal, an online clothing store. She discovers a passion for fashion, becoming an unlikely businesswoman. As her business grows, however, she has to learn to cope with life as her own boss. I would never want to be like her character, but it is refreshing to see unlikely people making something for themselves.
I am learning: To finally start being the real me, and to be happy with myself, and not compare myself to others. The road to self love can be long and hard, but it is so rewarding even just trying, learning and embracing these moments of growth and learning.
I am feeling: Extreme gratitude. I have a wonderful family. Amazing friends. A roof on my head. Great health. People who are interested in what I have to say (you) and an amazing life. I try to remember all of these great things about my life when I’m feeling down.

I am appreciating: YOU. My readers. I just want to say a big thank you for making the effort and reading my posts. It is you that keeps me going and keeps me inspired to share my experiences and thoughts with the world, so this is just the beginning of my blogging journey.
I am working on: My fitness goals. I exercise to try and be in good shape, but I do it especially for keeping my body and brain happy. That ‘high’ feeling after a big work out is the best! If you’ve been feeling the same, then this is a sign to just get up, and go workout!
