Coffee And Chat: What’s Been Happening In My World / March

Coffee And Chat: What’s Been Happening In My World / March

If you’ve been following my recent journey, you may know that I am adopting more self love and gratitude. I recently hosted a special event (which was a fairy party- which you can read about here). After hosting the event I realized that we should love and celebrate what we ALREADY have in our life, and just have fun and enjoy doing the things we love. So I am pleased to share this new corner of my blog, which I share what’s been happening with myself and what I’ve been up to. I am just a girl who loves the simple things in life! Grab a coffee, have a read and join in on March’s celebration coffee chat.

I am reading: The Fat Revolution by Christine Cronau. A look into the world of dieting and medical myths exposed, which Christine, a nutritionist and health expert exposes the truth about saturated fats, and how they actually don’t make us fat. I am loving this information, particularity because good fats have such a great benefit for our brain, hormones and mood, and better yet, our weight!

I am watching: Bates Motel on Netflix. Although I am pretty girly and spiritual, I have always loved thrillers. This well written and acted tv show portrays how Norman Bates psyche unravels during his teenage years; it is a prequel to the classic flick Physco. My sister and myself have not been able to stop watching it!

I am creating: Tons of new blog posts and content for my blog and to share with yous! I’ve recently bought a digital camera so I am also taking heaps of pretty shots. I want to post more often, now that I am starting to know who I am and what inspires me. I am passionate more than ever before about this blog and my goal to help bring light in other peoples worlds.

I am dreaming about: Taking a holiday to Lebanon with my Dad and sisters Genevieve and Monique. I grew up with a little bit of Middle Eastern culture as my dad’s parents were from Lebanon. I absolutely adore this culture and all I can think about is dressing up Arabian style on a balmy night with amazing decor and unlimited magic carpets!

I am quoting: “Not” by amazing Australian poet Erin Hanson:

You are not your age,
Nor the size of clothes you wear,
You are not a weight,
Or the colour of your hair.
You are not your name,
Or the dimples in your cheeks,
You are all the books you read,
And all the words you speak,
You are your croaky morning voice,
And the smiles you try to hide,
You’re the sweetness in your laughter,
And every tear you’ve cried,
You’re the songs you sing so loudly,
When you know you’re all alone,
You’re the places that you’ve been to,
And the one that you call home,
You’re the things that you believe in,
And the people that you love,
You’re the photos in your bedroom,
And the future you dream of,
You’re made of so much beauty,
But it seems that you forgot,
When you decided that you were defined,
By all the things you’re not.”

How beautiful and touching is it?

I am appreciating: All of the new friends I have been making on Instagram. They are all beautiful woman who are so inspiring and uplifting. Why do you think I am so passionate and inspired lately? You may even be one of these people if your reading this. Do what you love and you will attract like minded people. There are so many good people out there and you just need to go out and find them.

Stay tuned for next months celebration coffee chat.

  • I really enjoyed this blog post. It’s important to take care of yourself. I love IG, too. I love connecting with new people that share the same passion as I do.

  • love this and it took me some time to realize that self-care isn’t selfish but it’s mandatory. three cheers to taking care of us the best we know how on a daily basis!
